Independent EICR Compliance Oversight & Verification
The Electrical Safety Council (TESC) is an independent compliance and verification body dedicated to monitoring EICR compliance across the UK rental and commercial property sectors.
The Electrical Safety Council (TESC) operates as an independent compliance and verification body supporting post-inspection electrical safety processes across the United Kingdom.
Purpose
We collaborate with qualified contractors and local authorities to uphold electrical safety standards. Our mission is to assist landlords, managing agents, and duty-holders in fulfilling their legal obligations under the Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020.
The Compliance Stage After an EICR
An electrical inspection produces a report. The next phase is compliance: timelines, remedial actions and confirmation of outcomes. TESC focuses on that phase with structured follow-up and verification processes.
TESC focuses on the third stage — the compliance period where unsatisfactory outcomes, remedial works, timescales and documented completion must be managed and verified.
Our Role Includes
Confirming Outcomes
Confirming satisfactory inspection outcomes for EICR compliance.
Unsatisfactory Follow-Up
Flagging and following up on unsatisfactory EICRs.
28-Day Remedial Tracking
Ensuring that EICR remedial works are completed within the required 28-day window.
Notifications (where applicable). Informing tenants (if applicable) and local councils of the situation as part of compliance follow-up processes.
Audit trail. All compliance records are meticulously logged and monitored to support public safety and transparency.
